This is the first of (hopefully) a series of videos from me on persuasion. In this video I talk about rapport being the most important thing to establish before you attempt any kind of persuasion.
Persuasion is nine tenths charm! That’s just my opinion but it seems to serve me pretty well in the world. So if you want to be more persuasive, start being more charming!
How can I be more persuasive? Smile at people. Be nice. Learn their name. Notice them. In yoga, we say Namaste. It means, ‘The good in me sees the good in you.’ Imagine if the world was more like that?! Things go more easily when you are nice to people.
How can I get people to do what I want? Get them to like you first! The way to do that is to show interest in them. Ask them about themselves. Take an interest. Listen to them. Notice them. They will be a fan for life.
