As a keynote speaker and comedian, Celia Delaney aims to educate and entertain in equal measure. She is known as an inspiring public speaker on effective presentation skills, persuasion, and confidence and sometimes surprises audiences by singing during her speeches!
She uses comedy to give her original take on communication skills, which is why clients turn to her when looking for original and different keynote and after dinner speakers.
After reading Psychology at Oxford University, Celia initially worked as an HR Manager for Unilever. Then she ran off to drama school and trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in London, and was an actress on stage and television for five years.
Since then she has combined all her skills – in psychology, people and performance – to develop her own training and speaking business and is now a Fellow of the Professional Speaking Association, an honour given to fewer than 100 people in the UK.
She also works as a comedian and MC and in particular is a popular award ceremony host, who is described as “funny, sexy and extremely engaging.” She can even write a song just for your conference! She’s written about procurement, HR, coffee, NHS, marketing and more…
As a public speaking coach, Celia has coached and trained over 5000 people to date. Clients recommend Celia because they experience great results: not just in their speaking, but in their confidence and wider personal development.
Her favourite quote is from her drama school teacher at Mountview who said, “Darling, if you can’t be heard, you can’t be good.
